Corporate Sponsor Program

Beginning with the 2011-2012 chapter year, the Northern California – Nevada Chapter of SFPE will be rolling out a new Corporate Sponsor Program. Corporate Sponsors of the chapter provide financial support for the annual golf outing, the annual education/training seminar, and the monthly luncheon/guest speaker events. All proceeds from these events support the NCN – SFPE Brady Williamson Scholarship fund, which provides financial assistance to students working on degrees in Fire Protection who are from the Northern California or Northern Nevada areas, or attending, a fire protection engineer higher education program in Northern California or Northern Nevada.

The chapter year is kicked off in September.  In the Spring or Summer of each year, the NCN SFPE Brady Williamson Scholarship Fund Raising Golf Tournament is held.   First held in 1998, the outing has continued to grow and last year the event was well attended by many in the fire protection community. Last year this event raised $4,400 for the scholarship fund and assisted in the support of two scholarship award recipients.

A signature event for the Chapter, and also fundraiser for the NCN-SFPE Brady Williamson Scholarship Fund, is the Annual Education/Training Seminar, which is held every May. The seminar has been attended consistently by 70 to 95 people including fire alarm installers, owners, engineers, architects fire department personnel, and building officials.

Corporate Sponsors also provide funding so that student scholarship award recipients can attend the April luncheon meeting in conjunction with the Northern California Chapter of the Fire Prevention Officers, at no charge. This allows the students an opportunity to become involved with the Chapter and network with others in the fire protection community.

In the past, sponsorships were typically only for an individual event. The revised Corporate Sponsor Program provides financial support throughout the Chapter year from September 1st to August 31st. Along with supporting the Chapter, Sponsors gets exposure throughout the year, including the Golf Outing, Annual Seminar, Event Announcements and/or on the Website!! Four tiers of sponsorship are being offered. Some levels include registrations at the golf outing and seminar, in addition to the opportunity to advertise and exhibit at the event. Individual sponsorships will continue to be offered for those companies that are interested in supporting specific events.

If your company is interested in becoming a Corporate Sponsor, please contact our Chapter 2nd Vice President. Thank you for your continued support!
